CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Bryant & Stratton College (WI) men's soccer team fell to the McHenry Scots, 2-0 in the 2025 season opener in Illinois.
How it Happened:
The Scots found the back of the net first with a goal in the 14th minute of the game. It was sophomore Martin Quintero who remained on the attack. McHenry wasn't done and freshman Will Salgado scored his first collegiate goal 33 seconds later.
The Bobcats were also a man down after sophomore Mitchell Dietrich received a red card in the 38th minute. B&SC made a valiant effort to continue the attack, but McHenry's defense was solid and allowed just two shots on goal, which goalkeeper Chris Slawek saved.
Up Next: The Bobcats will be traveling to Michigan to take on Schoolcraft College on Wednesday, August 27. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. CT and will be livestreamed here. You can also find the game on Bryant & Stratton College's (WI) Hudl Fan page.
