Stout Defense Propels Bobcats to Victory
Multiple records set in close win
WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — The Bryant & Stratton College (WI) men's basketball team was back in action following Thanksgiving break where the Bobcats would take on Illinois Central College, who handed them a 10-point loss back on Nov. 5. However, the Bobcats got even with a 62-56 win Wednesday evening.
How it Happened: The Bobcats established control early, building a multi-possession lead through efficient ball movement and steady interior play. Their defensive presence set the tone throughout the first half, limiting Illinois Central's rhythm and forcing contested looks to help the Bobcats take a solid advantage into the break.
The Cougars' offense and they shut down the Bobcats in the second half. They stormed all the way back and took three points with less than five minutes to play. Despite the shift in momentum, Bryant & Stratton remained poised. The Bobcats tightened up defensively in the final minutes and converted key opportunities on the offensive end to hold off the Cougars.
