WAUWATOSA, WI (January 3, 2019) - After an exciting inaugural 2018 season, Bryant & Stratton College's Head Women's Soccer Coach, Lucas Henderson, brings on Gabriela Peru out of Houston, Texas for the 2019 season.
The four year varsity player attended North Shore High School where she was named Second Team All-District.
"I think Gabby is the type of person who will exemplify the values of our program and college on and off the field," Henderson said.
In the offseason, Peru competed on the widely recognized competitive club team, Houstonians Fútbol Club.
With a strong returning class coming back, Henderson expects Peru will mix well with the team and thrive at the midfield position.
"She truly impressed me with her calming midfield presence," Henderson said.
As senior year of high school comes to a close, Peru is ecstatic to take her talents to Wisconsin and make an impact on the program.
"I picked Bryant & Stratton because I believe I can learn so much here," Peru said. "Being long distance from home is going to help me become more independent and responsible. I am excited about starting a new chapter of my life."
Peru marks as a great signing for the program but Henderson will remain on the recruiting trail as he looks like make serious noise in the region next season.
The Bobcats finished their inaugural season at 5-6-1 while earning a playoff appearance at Waubonsee Community College where they suffered a 2-1 defeat.
