Bio
Avyanna “Avy” Young, a proud Milwaukee native, serves as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Bryant & Stratton College Wisconsin. A former standout D-I athlete, she brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Bobcats program. During her collegiate career, she competed at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she was a key contributor in the highly competitive Big Ten Conference. Following her playing career, she discovered her passion for mentoring student-athletes through coaching, leadership, and player development.
Coach Young holds a Master’s degree in Education and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.). In addition to her coaching role, she is a former Special Education teacher and currently serves as an Athletics Supervisor, further demonstrating her dedication to student growth and development.
At Bryant & Stratton, Coach Young is committed to building a competitive women’s basketball program centered on discipline, teamwork, and academic excellence. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes the holistic development of student-athletes, preparing them to excel both on the court and in life. Outside of basketball, Avy is a proud mother to her daughter, Marley, who is excited to join the Bobcat family alongside her.
