Bobcats sweep Harper in dominant showing
Jenna Beaudin leads Bobcats to sweep
WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Bryant & Stratton College (WI) softball put together a complete performance on Wednesday, sweeping Harper Hawks with a 9–4 win in game one and a 16–0 run-rule victory in game two at Rainbow Park.
The Bobcats combined for 25 runs on 27 hits while also swiping 11 bases in the opener.
Game 1: Bryant & Stratton (WI) 9, Harper Hawks 4
Bryant & Stratton used a big third inning to take control and never looked back in a 9–4 win to open the day.
After tying the game in the first, the Bobcats broke it open in the third. Lily Fairfield delivered an RBI single to spark the rally, followed by run-scoring doubles from Olivia Fietz and Samantha Foytik. Foytik later added to the momentum by stealing home as part of a four-run frame.
Notes:
- Fairfield went 3-for-3 at the plat
- Fietz had two RBIs
- Bystra picked up her sixth win and Stark picked up the save.
Game 2: Bryant & Stratton (WI) 16, Harper Hawks 0 (F/5)
The Bobcats followed up with an even more dominant performance in game two, rolling to a 16–0 win behind a relentless offensive attack.
Bryant & Stratton erupted for six runs in the first inning, fueled by RBI singles from Jenna Beaudin, Morgan Larsen, and Bella Umentum, along with a sacrifice bunt from Fairfield.
The lead continued to grow in the second with RBI doubles from Foytik and Beaudin before the Bobcats put the game out of reach in the third. Larsen highlighted the inning with a two-run home run, while Fietz, Foytik, and Beaudin each added RBI hits.
Jazmine Karls earned the win with 3⅓ scoreless innings, and Chloe Teague closed out the shutout effort.
