Bryant & Stratton College's season comes to a close in South Carolina
Bobcats drop close game against Louisburg, ending 2026 season
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Bryant & Stratton College-Wisconsin built an early four-run advantage but could not hold off a late Louisburg College comeback, falling 5-4 on Wednesday in NJCAA Division II World Series action.
The Bobcats struck first in the opening inning, taking advantage of a Louisburg error to plate the game's first run. B&SC extended its lead in the third inning behind timely hitting from Olivia Fietz and Jayda Karls. Fietz delivered an RBI single before Karls followed with an RBI double, helping the Bobcats build a 4-0 cushion.
Louisburg chipped away before pulling even in the fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Brittany Gingrich and an RBI single from Abigail Loser highlighted the comeback effort.
The Hurricanes completed the rally in the seventh inning, using a go-ahead RBI single to secure the 5-4 victory.
Kylie Stark was charged with the loss after pitching six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on 12 hits while striking out three and walking one.
