Cross country season preview
WAUWATOSA, Wis. — The Bryant & Stratton College (WI) cross country teams are preparing for the upcoming season and head coach Ryan Losinski is excited about the new faces of the team.
“The vibe heading into the season has been really positive. It’s exciting to see so many new faces out there,” Losinski said. “There’s a real sense of energy and momentum — the athletes are excited to be part of something, to work together, and to push each other.”
He’s also excited about coaching some familiar faces, like Amelia Beutler.
Amelia Beutler is definitely someone I expect to be a leader this season. She may only be a sophomore, but she carries herself with the focus and work ethic of a veteran. Amelia is a dedicated student-athlete whose drive to succeed — both in the classroom and on the course — sets a strong example for her teammates. Her consistency and determination will be a huge asset to our team culture.”
It’s bound to be an exciting season and Coach Losinski is ready to start seeing results.
“It feels like we’re building something special. With a mix of returners and newcomers, there’s a lot of potential and a lot of excitement about what this group can achieve together.
This year, the expectations have definitely grown compared to last season — and that’s exciting. On the men’s side, with more depth, we’re hoping to start scoring team points at meets, which would be a big step forward. For both the men and women, we’re aiming for more top individual finishes and consistent improvement across the board.”
