Marquez Angeles wins Region 4 individual championship
Angeles is the first Bryant & Stratton College - Wisconsin golfer to win the regional individual championship.
BYRON, Ill. - Starting on April 26, the Bobcats competed at the NJCAA Region 4 Tournament.
From the jump Marquez Angeles, took control of the tournament, making a push for first place. He would not relinquish that spot and won the individual championship shooting three over par. He won the Legends Classic prior to the region tournament.
As a team, the Bobcats finished fifth and Calvin Grass and JJ Lee made the all-tournament team.
This is Coach Runkel's eighth individual qualifier for nationals in his 10-year career.
Angeles begins play at nationals on May 19 at in Swan Lake, Indiana.
