CICERO, Ill. — In a tightly contested NJCAA Region 4 matchup, the Bryant & Stratton College (WI) Bobcats fell to the Morton College Panthers, 73–66, on Tuesday evening.
How It Happened: Morton jumped out to a four-point lead in the opening minutes, but the Bobcats responded with a seven-point run to take an 11–8 advantage. The teams traded baskets throughout the first half, with Morton holding a slim 16–13 edge at the 10-minute mark. The back-and-forth battle continued until the buzzer, as the Panthers carried a narrow 31–29 lead into halftime. Vontez Dent led Bryant & Stratton with 11 first-half points.
The second half mirrored the first, with neither team able to create separation. Bryant & Stratton held a one-point lead midway through the period before Morton pushed its advantage to five. The Bobcats battled back to reclaim a one-point lead, but the Panthers closed strong down the stretch to secure the 73–66 victory.
