MILWAUKEE — Angie Ruiz-Salazar will continue her flag football career in Arizona at Arizona Christian University.

“I think the connection with your coach is the most important thing. I felt really comfortable talking to him, and the school is a lot closer to home and… I really like the whole university.”

Salazar finished with 39 receptions 186 yards and two TDs. She also had an impact on the defense, with 14 tackles, and helped the Bobcats flag football to an 8-4 record and its first win at the NJCAA flag football invitational. She also served as a team captain. 

 “I really appreciate him giving me this opportunity because it was so far away from home and it was literally the scariest thing I had done in my life. It was an opportunity for me to grow as a player and person and [dive into] a different culture.”
