OCONOMOWOC, Wis — Bryant & Stratton College (WI) baseball split a Monday doubleheader with No. 7-ranked Madison College, dropping the opener 3–0 before responding with a 10–6 victory at Wisconsin Brewing Company Park.
The Bobcats were held in check offensively in game one but bounced back with a power-filled performance in the nightcap.
Game 1: Madison College 3, Bryant & Stratton (WI) 0
In a pitcher's duel, Bryant & Stratton came up short despite a strong outing from Landon Raygo.
The left-hander pitched six innings, struck out six and allowred only four hits.
Madison College broke through in the fourth inning, using a double and a two-run single to account for all three runs in the game.
Game 2: Bryant & Stratton (WI) 10, Madison College 6
The Bobcats responded in a big way in game two, powered by a two-home run performance from Calvin Hurtgen. He went deep in the fourth and sixth innings, driving in three runs to lead the offensive surge.
Bryant & Stratton broke the game open in the third inning, scoring five runs behind a two-run home run from Bradyn Nelson, a two-run double from Nate Wertel, and an RBI single from Elery Hardwick.
The Bobcats added three more runs in the fourth, highlighted by Calvin's first home run of the game, to extend the lead to 8–1.
Madison College made things interesting with a five-run fifth inning, but Bryant & Stratton answered and held on down the stretch.

Braden Bothe earned the win in relief, tossing three innings while allowing just one run on two hits. Heisl set the tone early with two scoreless innings to start the game.
