MOLINE, Ill. - Bryant & Stratton Wisconsin baseball picked up a pair of wins on Friday, holding off Elgin CC for a 5-3 victory before erupting late in a 13-2 win over Black Hawk.
Game 1: Bryant & Stratton College (WI) 5, Elgin CC 3
The Bobcats built an early lead and held off a late Elgin rally to open the day with a 5-3 win.
B&SC broke through in the third inning when Jacob Hurtgen ripped an RBI double and Bradyn Nelson launched a two-run home run to left field. The Bobcats extended their lead thanks to a two-RBI double from Macay Wagner.

Elgin mounted pressure in the seventh, highlighted by a two-run home run, but Hayden Christman shut the door. Parker Bleck earned the win, allowing just four hits and three runs while striking out four across seven innings. Christman secured the save.

Game 2: Bryant & Stratton Wisconsin 13, Black Hawk 2
The Bobcats followed with an offensive breakout against the No. 2 seeded Black Hawk Braves.
B&SC trailed 2-0 heading into its half of the fifth inning, but the Bobcats responded with a solo home run from Charlie Dietz. That got things rolling as the Bobcats exploded for five runs on six hits to take control in the sixth. Jacob Hurtgen delivered the biggest hit of the inning with a two-run single after a nine-pitch at-bat.
Nick Heisl dominated in relief, earning the win with 4.2 scoreless innings while striking out seven and allowing no hits. Landon Raygo and Eliot Roethle combined for 4.1 innings of work and five strikeouts.
