BSC Wisconsin Baseball sweep Illinois Valley behind a no hitter from Zach Zwicky
Zach Zwicky became the second Bobcats' pitcher in the history of the program to throw a no hitter on Wednesday. Zwicky went six innings allowing only two walks and two hit batters in the Bobcats 10-0 win over Illinois Valley Community College.
"He was in complete control the entire outing," said Head Baseball Coach Alex Tomter. "We were able to jump out to a first inning lead and Zwick never gave Illinois Valley a chance to feel like they could come back."
Zwicky, a second year player in the program, is a graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Milwaukee. He has finished up his Associate's Degree in Business here at Bryant & Stratton and is still uncommitted on where he will play next year.
"Zwick has done everything we've asked of him in his time here. He puts in the time and dedication all year round and this moment is the culmination of two years of work" added Tomter.
The historic performance shrinks Zwicky's earned run average to 1.83 in 20 innings pitched this spring.
